With 500 bikes in stock at any one time, Ciarán Perrin’s business is aptly named Extreme Trading. Apart from the bikes we tested, there are at least another four RC30S, plus Suzuki Katanas, RGV250S, Kawasaki KR-1SS and other lust-worthy bikes from the ’70s to the early 2000s.
Ciarán has been in the bike game since 1988. “Anything rare and collectable interests me,” he says. “I specialise in limited editions and homologation specials, but I’ll buy and sell anything that appeals to me. I’ve got a couple of Suzuki Goose 350 singles (from £1995), a lovely little 1998 Yamaha RZ50-2 – the coolest 50cc retro bike you’ll see – and a Honda TLM50 trials bike, ripe for restoration, at £1500.”
Ciarán operates strictly on an appointment basis, or through his ebay shop extremetradingltd. Contact him on 0800 056 2270 to arrange a viewing and prepare to be amazed. Both the bikes featured here are available for sale: the 1991 Honda RC30 is up for £32,000, while the 1991 Ducati 851 is priced at £7695.
