WAY WE WERE
Clamber into the loft, dig out those pics and share your memories with the world
Here are some images from my vintage racing days. One of them gives you an idea of how large the two-mile track was in San Bernardino County, California. It’s now a large industrial complex and I’m glad I got to race there the last time it was run.
Those days were fun while they lasted. I discovered you never know how fast you can go until you fall down, and I even hold the record at one local motocross track. I fell down three times in one lap – but in my defence it was raining and I’d had a few beers before the race. I’m dry now and much better able to keep bikes upright!
