HIGH SOCIETY MEETS HIGH OCTANE AT GOODWOOD’S SUMMER SPECTACULAR Bikes may be only part of the line up at Goodwood, but the 25th edition of the event is set to cheer the heart of any petrolhead. One of the highlights for classic bike fans is sure to be multi-world Superbike champion Carl Fogarty thrashing the National Motorcycle Museum’s 1970 Bol d’or winning racing triple and their 1971 ex-mike Hailwood and Ray Pickrell F750 machine up the famous hill. We grabbed a quick ride on both bikes last month, but at Goodwood the F750 machine will be running unsilenced as the factory intended. And Foggy will also be giving Triumph’s new Moto2 motor – the control engine for the 2019 season – a run. Both should be something to hear. Two-wheeled action gets underway on Friday; the hill climb climax is a timed shoot-out on Sunday. goodwood.com
