“A CLASSIC-INSPIRED EVERY DAY RIDE WITH AUTHENTIC STYLE”

-

Suspension and handling are beyond reproach. On the potholes and cracks of these Cambridgeshire roads the bike copes admirably, sticking to a line and saving me from the worst the road can throw up. Cruising speed is a sedate 60mph – perfectly matched to the road conditions and, importantly, to the feel and character of the bike. And, though the front brake needs a fair bit of pressure to haul things up in a hurry, the rear disc is predictable enough to bring a bit of extra stopping power to the party. It’s really all about creating a visual statement, though, and it’s the details that make the Pegasus what it is. There’s a single seat, and the exhaust, headlamp rim, wheels, kickstart and brake pedal are black rather than chrome, maintaining the no-frills wartime image. Vintage-look canvas panniers are standard, too. Even the key fob is styled to look like a military dog tag. If you want a relaxed, classicinspired every day ride with all mod cons (indicators, electric start and disc brakes front and rear) plus a dash of authentic wartime style, the new Pegasus is well worth a look. Don’t hang about, though. Just 1000 Classic Pegasus Edition models are being produced – and only 190 will be available in the UK. Orders can be booked online from July, priced at £4999 on the road. There’s a range of themed clothing to go with the bike, too, if you want to go the whole hog and release your inner paratrooper...
