STAFFORD IS AUTUMN’S MONSTER CLASSIC SHOW

-

There’s still so much to see and do this year

If size really matters, then Stafford is the highlight of the autumn show scene. Nominally catering mainly for fans of Japanese and later classics, there’ll be a huge autojumble, more trade stands than you can shake your wallet at, as well as some of the finest restos from the UK – and sometimes beyond. All the main UK clubs make the effort to outdo each other, too, meaning there’s plenty to see over the two days of the show. Likeable Londoner Terry Rymer is the guest of honour this October. Rymer made his name in the late ’80s, racking up a string of wins in Superstock and Superbike racing in the UK, before stepping up to the WSB and world endurance stages, winning the Bol d’or five times and claiming the world endurance crown twice. He’ll be joined by popular South African racer Jon Ekerold and ultra-lightweight specialist and three-time 125cc world champion Pier Paulo Bianchi in a treat for fans of ’70s and ’80s road racing.

Throw in the classic trials demos, wall of death and the GP paddock and you’ve got the recipe for a great weekend. classicbikeshows.com
