1972 MV AGUSTA 750S
One of just 402 produced, this superb example of MV Agusta’s first sports roadster models is a highly desirable machine. Developed from the factory racers, the 750S produced a claimed 65bhp and, while it retained the shaft drive of MV’S first four-cylinder road bike, the 600cc 4C, was a genuine sports bike.
The 750S was manufactured between 1968-75; this example was originally supplied to Germany and has been in the hands of its current owner since 1989. It was last run in July this year (when it was also serviced) and has undergone an engine rebuild by the German MV Agusta importer Roland Schneider a mere 3283km ago. Upgraded with a magnesium Ceriani front brake, leather-upholstered seat and lower than standard 11/31 final drive gears, the bike is being offered with a cache of spares including a set of 26mm Dell’orto carburettors, the original wheels and brake plates, standard final-drive gears, a new Bosch distributor and speedometer and various other parts. A quantity of literature – including sales brochures, a parts list and a workshop manual – is also included in the sale. Estimate is £70,000-100,000.
