REM FOWLER HIP FLASK
This hip flask, presented to Rem Fowler by the Birmingham MCC for putting up the best performance by a club member at the 1907 TT, is the only trophy the Birmingham-born rider ever received for winning the twin-cylinder class of the inaugural TT races. The trophy for the twin class was reportedly put up by Dr HS Hele-shaw, but Fowler never received it. Instead, he had to make do with the £25 prize for the class win and this inscribed, Sterling Silver hip flask, which comes with its leather case plus various period photographs, press cuttings and correspondence. The estimate for this unique piece of TT history is £20,000-30,000.
