CANTERBURY SALES

Family treasures go under the hammer.

-

A trio of bikes are being offered alongside around 1000 fine art and antique lots at The Canterbury Action Galleries on October 2-3. They have been in the same father and son ownership for decades and spent the last 20 years in France. There’s a 1913, 500cc BSA 3.5hp (estimate £8000-10,000), a 1934, 250cc Rudge Radial that was unused and unregistered until 1958 (£6000-8000), and a 1936, 500cc Rudge Special (£8000-10,000).

The bikes were running when placed in storage two years ago, so should only need a fettle. They’re offered with French Carte Grise, but are on the DVLA system, so getting British papers should be simple. See canterburyauctiongalleries.com
