I took my 1954 100cc Monet Goyon to Bonneville this year and managed to set the 100cc M-VG record at 39.924mph, despite lots of issues and nowhere near its peak performance. So thanks to Rick for the advice he gave me regarding what to do with my crankshaft to solve my problems with vibration. I met and had support from many great British engineers. I enclose a photo of my bike in front of my good Swedish friend Anders Jonsson’s ESO 650cc nitro-burning streamliner sidecar, powered by an old ice speedway engine from the ’50s – he also bagged a record. IAN ARNOLD Blimey, well done Ian! That’s quite an achievement! In fairness to you, I think it’s very difficult to get stuff to run there like it does at home, but what an experience! Rick P
