1976 SEELEY CB750

-

OWNER: Chris Palmer, Oxford

Chris got lucky when he came across his Seeley two years ago. “It was in a pretty sorry state,” he admits. “But the previous owner had sorted the engine and fitted an 810cc Yoshimura big-bore kit to the F1 engine. I didn’t realise until much later. The forks were beyond help and I’ve got Suzuki Bandit forks fitted now, adapted to take Lockheed calipers to keep the period look. It needed an exhaust, too, so I’ve used Yoshimura downpipes and a reverse-cone silencer I sourced from America. The paint is still original, though, and the plating on the frame just needed polishing up. I got Colin Seeley to look over it today and he confirmed it’s the seventh CB750 frame he built. I’m well pleased.”
