NEW YEAR CHEER
Mecum’s monster Las Vegas sale in January
Already, the entries are stacking up for Mecum’s January sale in Sin City. The 1973 Triumph Hurricane above is one of the stand-out early consignments. This fabulous, unrestored machine has just 4207 miles on the odometer – a figure that is believed to be genuine. The matchingnumbers machine will be sold with an original owner’s manual and parts list together with a ‘Hurricane’ print signed by Craig Vetter.
For motocross fans, a 1968 Husqvarna owned by US Husky importer Edison Dye and ridden by Torsten Hallman in all four rounds of the 1968 Inter-am championship should be of considerable interest. With restored tank and rebuilt engine, and said to ride and run beautifully, this is a genuine slice of motocross history.
