BSA’S Jim Rice was a top dirt tracker and had narrowly missed out on the AMA Grand National title in 1970. Fans of the film On Any Sunday will recall the bruising crash at the Sacramento Mile dirt track that ultimately lost him the championship. At Daytona in 1971, he was riding a 1970spec Rocket III.
