Experienced Roger Reiman was the 1964 AMA Grand National Champion and Harley’s other top road racer in the 1971 200. He was the first rider to win on the Daytona road course (1961) and won again in 1964 and 1965 – the latter being the only time the 200 has ever been run in the rain. Reiman’s fourth place in the 1971 race was his best performance at Daytona International Speedway since 1965. He was also the only Harley rider to finish in the top 15.
