1971 GT750J
The first GT750 J models filter onto the US and Japanese home market. The 738cc two-stroke triple is the first mass-produced Japanese bike to feature water-cooling. Twin tls front brakes, five-speed gearbox and three-into-four exhaust.
1972 GT750J
First production GT750 model. Twin tls front brakes, five-speed gearbox and three-into-two exhaust system. Top speed around 110mph. Colours: Candy Lavender, Candy Yellow Ochre and Candy Jackal Blue.
1973 GT750K
Twin 295mm discs replace the tls front brake. Extra chrome on radiator side covers and later K models have chrome chain guard. Colours: Blue and White or Gold.
1974 GT750L
Redesigned side panels and chromed sides on the airbox sides. A revised exhaust (from August) allows more cornering clearance. Power up to a claimed 70bhp. Colours: Flake Orange or Flake Blue.
1975 GT750M
Revised porting, increased compression, modified and higher overall gearing raise top speed close to 120mph. Colours: Jewel Gray Metallic, Candy Gipsy Red or Candy Gold.
1976 GT750A
Overall gearing raised again and fuel tank gets a lockable cap. Colours: Maui Blue Metallic or Flake Orange.
1977 GT750B
Last year of the GT750 as the new GS750 and GS1000 models take over at the top of the Suzuki range. Black side panels, no stays on front mudguard and revised indicators and rear light. Colours: Red or Blue.
