46ft Charles Sibbick Bermudan Cutter 1901
While Charles Sibbick’s reputation was built through the 1890s on designing and building successful extreme fin and bulb keel race-winners, like his 1899 BONA FIDE, 1900 Olympic Gold Medal winner and recent scourge of Mediterranean classic regattas, NEDDA is a magnificent representative of the other side of the Cowes all-rounder’s work: a line of elegant fast cruisers, including NEDDA’s also alive-and-well cousins SAUNTERER and THALASSA - all stoutly built from the finest of materials. Restored and maintained (most recently at La Rochelle by Bruno Barbara) over the past 30 years by two loving owners, NEDDA is a truly authentic, easy to sail Victorian family cruiser-racer with spacious decks, authentic and comfortable accommodation, nicely simple systems - and superb provenance.
