3D printed tracks for modern classics
Exhibited for the first time at the METS trade show in Amsterdam in November was a set of newly designed tracks and cars, aimed at the modern classic market.
Designed by Paul Spooner Design and manufactured by Ording Blocks, the new stainless steel deck hardware has been 3D printed.
Paul Spooner said: “Normally finding tracks and cars for Spirit of Tradition boats is di cult, because the only options are from the major manufacturers, who don’t always cater for the classic boat owner.”
The tracks and cars were inspired by 12-Metre designs and were 3D printed to ensure the original design could be achieved, while keeping costs as low as possible.
