The real inventor of internal halyards

Your June 2021 issue states, on page 48, that it was Dick Carter who pioneered “the idea of internal halyards and shroud tangs”. L Francis Herresho ’s drawing of the first tangs is dated 15 March, 1923, and his use of internal halyards goes as far back as 1925, on the R-Class yacht Yankee, predating Dick Carter by decades.
