Cruising Association app

The Cruising Association has upgraded its CAptain’s Mate app, o¦ering information on pilotage, anchorages and more in 6,500 locations in more than 70 countries.

Available on iOS and Android, once downloaded the app works with no internet connection or phone signal and can be mirrored on the Cruising Association website. It displays detailed information on locations via search and filter functions, including approach considerations, availability of and access to key facilities such as water and fuel, as well as amenities ashore.

There is also a database of cruising reports, with more than 20,000 member contributions, sharing expertise and tips, with photos. The app shows discount partners as well as a ‘friend’ function to display fellow Cruising Association members in the area if you wish. theca.org.uk/public/captainsmate
