Classic Boat Festival in London

St Katharine Docks in London will host its annual Classic Boat Festival over the weekend of 9-11 September. The event, which has been running for almost 30 years, has 50 boats registered so far including Sailing Barge

Cambria, an array of Dunkirk Little Ships and Bates Starcraft models, Sir Francis Chichester’s Gipsy Moth IV, HRH The Queen’s Row Barge Gloriana and the tugs Portwey and Kent. The free, three-day festival includes boatbuilding workshops, live music, talks and kids activities. Visitors will be able to board some of the vessels and meet their owners, and there will be talks on stage by experts including the custodians of HRH The Queen’s Row Barge ‘Gloriana’ and Tom Cunli¤e. skdocks.co.uk
