Police have parts stolen

Leicestershire Constabulary has been left red-faced after criminals targeted one of its Land Rover Defenders and stripped it of parts outside a Market Bosworth police station. The Defender was inspected before being hauled away by a tow truck, minus its doors and bonnet. Originally borrowed from the local Sturgess Land Rover dealership to highlight and tackle rural crime, police believe the theft took place between 11pm on 25 August and 5.45am the next day. Officers are appealing for information.
