I t’s your last chance to enter this year’s National Car Club Awards – so be sure to get your nomination­s in before next Monday (6 February).

Awards takes place alongside this year’s Practical Classics Classic Car and Restoratio­n Show, and will be held at the NEC in Birmingham on Saturday 1 April. The awards, backed by Classic Car Weekly and the Federation of British Historic Vehicle Clubs (FBHVC) and held in associatio­n with Tourism Ireland, recognise the best events, magazines, websites from the nation’s classic clubs, and the often unsung heroes behind them.

Nomination­s for this year’s categories, which recognise everything from the best club magazines to successful events, can be made through the awards website. The shortliste­d entrants will be revealed on 22 February after being whittled down by award judges FBHVC chairman David Whale, Tourism Ireland deputy director David Boyce, Practical Classics editor Danny Hopkins and CCW editor David Simister. There’ll also be two Highly Commended awards, chosen at the judges’ discretion.

Two members from every club shortliste­d for an award are invited to attend as guests of the National Car Club Awards and Tourism Ireland. Further tickets will be on sale for those also wishing to attend.
