1995 VW Corrado VR6
Every week, we give a market valuation based on your description and photos
HOW LONG HAVE YOU HAD IT?
I paid £3750 for it in April 2008 from a private seller who had taken great care of it. I was the first to view after it was posted on a website the previous day. I had to get there quickly because there were other interested people. I have done quite a lot of work during my ownership, including refurbishing the ABS pump and alloy wheels. It also went to a recommended bodyshop to fix rust that was starting below the hatch window and in the front arches. All but the roof was resprayed.
HOW MUCH HISTORY?
Very comprehensive. It has a fully stamped up service book and all the other manufacturer literature supplied from new. I have all the MoT certificates back to when the car would have had its first test, plus a file full of receipts for work done dating back to 1997. I am the fourth owner, the first being a property management company.
WHAT’S LEFT TO DO ON IT?
I am going to replace the front discs and pads and possibly the front shock absorbers in the near future. I would also like to change all the suspension bushes at some point.
HAS IT BEEN MODIFIED?
The very desirable Diavia air conditioning system was fitted by VW dealers Scotts of Sloane Square in 1997 for the sum of £2115! A Jetex stainless steel exhaust system was fitted in 2010 after the original expired. I would have liked an original system but they are silly money now and hard to source.
