Scimitars have long represented good value, and we reckon this SE5a offered a lot for the money. In the same ownership since 2001 but kept in indoor storage since 2009, this 1972 model attracted plenty of attention. Here was a running example that needed a little cosmetic attention but was otherwise a complete, honest example of Reliant’s classy shooting brake. It’s an ideal winter project for a marque aficionado to take on, and even with it exceeding its £8001400 estimate was well bought.
