HOW LONG HAVE YOU HAD IT?
I’ve had it for two-and-a-half years, but now I’m looking to purchase a Vauxhall VX220 Turbo or TVR Griffith. However, dealers have not offered me a price, so a suggestion what to offer it at would be very useful. It’s got a good specification including electric heated Recaro leather seats and aircon. The engine is very strong, reliable, powerful and pulls well – a compression test shows as-new readings. The gearbox is a fivespeed manual, and shows no faults.
HOW MUCH HISTORY?
The car has a full and comprehensive history, annual maintenance in accordance with BMW schedules and all services carried out by BMW and/or recognised specialists. The mileage goes against it but it really is a good-looking car with no faults and six months’ MoT (but I will put a year on before selling it). There’s lots of accompanying paperwork and old MoTs to back up the specialist servicing. It looks and drives like a car with half the mileage.
WHAT’S LEFT TO DO ON IT?
On both front wings there are a 5p-sized rust spots (which I intend to address). Otherwise the paintwork is very good, with just the odd stonechip. The wheels look like new and have very good Michelin tyres with lots of tread. The interior is good with no sign of wear on the seats or bolsters. However, the six CD changer doesn’t work, although the radio-cassette does.
HAS IT BEEN MODIFIED?
No, it’s completely standard.
