WHY LARKIN LOVES IT – ‘The PA’s stylish to the extreme, yet with some extremely capable mechanics under the skin!’

Classic Car Weekly (UK) - - 60 YEARS OF MOTORWAYS -

Did anything else massproduced from a British motor factory quite match this wondrous tribute to Detroit’s befinned finest?

Imagine a pink Cresta, or even a slightly less-adorned Velox, gliding its way through smoke-blackened Lancashire streets ready for a blast up the newlyopened Preston Bypass, something which would certainly not ruffle these cars in the slightest. Under the bonnet would be a well-proven 2262cc six-cylinder engine, which was good for more than 80mph. There was good visibility through the ‘dog-leg’ windscreen and you’d get many an envious glance as Ford Popular after Ford Popular disappeared from from view in your interior mirror.

Ride and comfort standards were good too, so it wasn’t just the styling that thrilled. What a finned charmer!
