Condition-wise this was the absolute star of the sale: a quick look at this fully-restored L-type was enough to reel Historics punters in for a closer look, and it didn’t disappoint. The body had been fully restored with work including four new wings made from aluminium, while the paint was near flawless. The engine bay was equally good, as was the boot, which had that period factoryfresh rubbery odour. There was no disappointment inside, the re-trimmed

interior being utterly delightful too.
