Unexceptional move
Next year’s Festival of the Unexceptional (FoTU), the concours for historic ‘ordinary’ vehicles organised by specialist insurer Hagerty UK, will be held in Buckinghamshire’s Claydon Estate on 20 July 2019.
It’s the third time FoTU has moved in its five-year history. Billed as a tonguein-cheek antithesis to the typical classic vehicle concours gathering, the FoTU has extended its cut-off date to allow owners of Nineties classics to show their cars off; eligible cars built between 1966 and 1996 can now take part. Owners of appropriately mundane motors can register their interest between 1 January and 31 May via Hagerty’s dedicated website. For visitors, the first 600 tickets are free. A further 400 tickets cost £5 each. unexceptionalcars.co.uk
