ELECTRICAL HASSLES

Regular use avoids flat batteries and a host of electrical hassles. It’s certainly worth ensuring that everything works properly, especially the climate-control system, which can play up. Check that windows drop when the door is opened, and for inoperative central locking remotes – flat batteries mean a code re-set by a dealer or specialist. As for the cabin, damaged leather or wood veneer is predictably pricey to refurbish, so don’t ignore a scruffy cabin.

Check the condition of the cabin and that all the electrics work. Fixes are expensive.
