WHY I LOVE MY JAGUAR XK8

-

‘My XK8 is a 2004 4.2 coupé I’ve owned for ten years now, and never having had a Jaguar before I really fancied one of these. After doing some research I found this one at a used car dealer in the north of England – the history was good and the price I paid was fair, and I’ve been really happy with the car ever since.

‘It’s been reliable and having an engineering background I’ve found it quite easy to work on, although it hasn’t needed much doing to it. There was a minor problem with the ABS system that was easily sorted, and I’ve replaced the front upper wishbone bushes and lower damper bushes, which are both common wear points. And getting a specialist to change the automatic gearbox oil and filter really improved the way it drives, too.

‘It’s covered around 105,000 miles now and although it’s not my everyday car – since buying the XK I’ve also bought two other Jaguars, including an XJS convertible – I can’t see me parting with it. The performance and comfort are really impressive.’
