SUNBEAM TOUR GETS GO-AHEAD
Sixteen routes have been selected across the UK

The Sunbeam Rapier Owners’ Club (SROC) has announced that it is planning to celebrate its 40th anniversary with an ambitious multi-leg tour of the British countryside scheduled to take place throughout 2019.
The club says that it has endeavoured to find unspoiled roads for its itinerary, its ultimate aim being to recreate the memorable experience of owning a brand-new Rootes car ‘ back in the day.’
The exact dates of the runs have yet to be announced, but the SROC has revealed that each section of the tour will be led by the club member who put forward each respective route.
Trustee of the Rootes Archive Centre Trust, Andy Bye, told Classic
Car Weekly: ‘It’s something that the Sunbeam Rapier Owners’ Club hoped to do last year but it didn’t quite work out.
