The Sunbeam Rapier Owners’ Club (SROC) has announced that it is planning to celebrate its 40th anniversar­y with an ambitious multi-leg tour of the British countrysid­e scheduled to take place throughout 2019.

The club says that it has endeavoure­d to find unspoiled roads for its itinerary, its ultimate aim being to recreate the memorable experience of owning a brand-new Rootes car ‘ back in the day.’

The exact dates of the runs have yet to be announced, but the SROC has revealed that each section of the tour will be led by the club member who put forward each respective route.
