THIS YEAR’S REVIVAL RACES IN FULL
❚ Kinrara Trophy For closed-cockpit, pre-’63 GT cars – expect to see E-types, DB4s and Ferrari 250SWBs.
❚ Fordwater Trophy A 25-minute race with 911s, Lotus Elites, TVR Granturas and other early ‘60s sports cars.
❚ Barry Sheene Memorial Trophy Catering for bikes made in 1960-1966.
❚ Goodwood Trophy Normally dominated by ERAs, but this race for 1930-1951 Grand Prix cars is increasingly
seeing a fightback from Alfa Romeos and Maseratis.
❚ St Mary’s Trophy Big names and professional racers battle in historic tintops. This year it’s catering for pre1959 saloons such as the Jaguar MkI.
❚ Glover Trophy For rear-engined GP racers made 1961-65 – expect to see Coopers and BRM in action.
❚ Earl of March Trophy The race for 500cc Formula 3 cars from the 1950s – and it normally provides some of the weekend’s closest racing.
❚ Sussex Trophy D-types and Listers take on Ferraris and Maseratis in this race for 1955-60 sports cars.
❚ Brooklands Trophy This should be a spectacular one to watch – a race dedicated to Bentley’s centenary, with the manufacturer’s pre-war models battling it out.
❚ Richmond & Gordon Trophies Aimed at 2.5-litre Grand Prix cars from the late 1950s – so plenty of Maseratis, Ferraris and BRMs to take part.
❚ RAC Club TT The one to watch if you love E-types, Cobras and Corvettes. Open to closed cockpit GT cars made between 1960 and 1964.
❚ Whitsun Trophy GT40s, Lola T70s and the like powering down the Lavant Straight – no wonder it’s the Revival’s quickest race.
