Bicester Heritage’s first autojumble
Bicester Heritage is to hold its firstever Super Scramble on 23 June, promising attendees an autojumble and track time on top of the usual well-established Scramble format.
The Scrambles were founded in 2014, admitting pre-1990 cars and clubs to Bicester Heritage’s 444-acre site. It also converted outbuildings to house specialists and apprentices, which host open days. This year’s Scrambles have alrady attracted record numbers of visitors and cars.
A static display will also show off 100 vintage and classic cars, together with a number of pre- and post-war aircraft.
A 45,000 square foot hangar built in 1936 will be turned into the Trader Village, complete with autojumble. And while the coned-off test track is some way from the ambitious, bespoke track planned for 2021 ( CCW, 20 March), this event also marks the first time that Scramble visitors will be able to run their cars during track sesssions.
Bicester Heritage managing director, Dan Geoghegan, said: ‘We’re all about inclusive historic car community, skills and dynamic activity. The Super Scramble will combine all of these, plus our first autojumble.’
