1973 JAGUAR XJ4.2C PROJECT
One really only for the committed XJ enthusiast, this recently-discovered preproduction Coupé needed everything – even the roof had rotted through where the vinyl covering had lifted, and beneath the beltline there was a serious amount of corrosion to tackle, the front wings, doors and sills being riddled with corrosion. There would be plenty of mechanical work to tackle too, but being a matching-numbers, manual gearbox very early example, someone rightly saw the potential, although its return to road won’t be any time soon.
