Pre-war Vauxhall eyes new marque record

-

Market experts believe that a Wensumbodied 1924 Vauxhall OE-Type 30-98 could set a record sale price for the marque later this year. The car is set to cross the block in Gooding & Co’s ‘Passion of Lifetime’ 5 September auction, carrying an estimate of £800k-£1.2m. The 4.2-litre, 112hp Vauxhall was regarded as the supercar of its day; Gooding’s car is one of 12 thought to have been built with ‘ultra-sporting’ Wensum coachwork.
