Review: H&H Classics
Scottish auctioneer back with a strong mix of cars
Morris Leslie’s late summer line-up pulled in enough cars to satisfy most interests and many keenly-estimated motors meant that a sufficient number found new homes. There were some fresh classic opportunities for those on a limited budget, while those with a bit more cash to spend weren’t forgotten, either.
The usual Ford, Jaguar and Mercedes-Benz offerings were joined by a rare 1974 Mazda 1000 and a 1999 Nissan S-Cargo. Two Triumph TR4s and a Morris Minor convertible conversion flew the flag for traditional classics, while French hot hatchbacks, a Peugeot 205 GTI 1.9 and a Renault 5 GT Turbo, also found new homes. Kudos for bravery goes to the buyer of a 1977 Rolls-Royce Silver Wraith project, who paid only £850 for the forlorn Silver Shadow derivative.
