Originally slated to appear at one of Morris Leslie’s auction events earlier this year but held back due to the coronavirus pandemic, this hugely rare Mazda was a savvy purchase, slipping away considerably beneath its £5-6k estimate. Thought to be one of only half a dozen listed on the DVLA’s database, it is believed to have had three keepers from new, the last since 2005, the auctioneer says. There was no other history to accompany the car, but the chances of coming across another any time soon are remote at best.
