HOW WILL TRACK AND TRACE BE IMPLEMENTED?
Organisers’ methods for taking details of their visitors vary – from forms to dedicated track and trace ‘apps’ that capture data via mobile phones.
Some events, such the Lancaster Insurance Classic Motor Show, with Discovery, and Practical Classics Restoration Show, are taking the requisite data from pre-booked online ticket sales. Lee Masters said: ‘We won’t be using a track and trace app – all the details of the ticket holders have to be inputted at point of purchase and will be held for 21 days after the event.’
Others, like the Classic Car Show Drive In Weekend at Bicester Heritage, will also ask showgoers to fill in a self-declaration form on the day, after pre-booking online.
The 23-26 September Salon Privé is billed as the first event to use a track and trace ‘app’, known as Liber, to record details. Hand sanitising and temperature taking take place on the gate and 10 metre square social distancing measures have been applied across the venue.
