‘Midget are always fun to drive with lively performance belying its small engine. But by far the best addition to this restoration is that modern Ford gearbox – having five all-synchromesh gears transforms these cars. Acceleration is extremely good; the Midget keeps pace with modern traffic even when going uphill. It’s a thoroughly enjoyable drive.
