The best of both worlds
Barons opts for online-only and traditional sales as lockdown eases
Barons’ next sale, under the Jaguar Heritage, Classic and Sports Cars moniker, returns to Sandown Park after the last had a last-minute switch to Epsom.
The auctioneer says that it’s planning to continue with plans to allow bidders to attend the sale in person, albeit with strict social distancing measures in place (for more see The Big Story, page 34). Whether you plan on visiting Sandown Park or bidding online there’s a strong mix of modern classics and more traditional classics to choose from in this latest sale, which fittingly includes no fewer than 15 Jaguars, ranging from a 1964 3.4-litre Mk2 to a 2004 XKR Convertible.
We also reckon that the sale’s Alvis TF21 is temptingly priced and that there are several MercedesBenzes, as well as a 2001 Morgan Plus 8 and 1968 Triumph GT6, which represent great deals if bought within their estimates.
