If overdrive is not engaging, the issue may be electrical (a cheap fix) or mechanical (more serious). The manual and auto gearboxes are durable if their oil isn’t ancient. Some Sprints have a limited-slip differential, which must be healthy to prevent a hefty bill for a re-build.
