The Government has in the past week changed its rules around social distancing, and made it illegal for groups of more than six people to take part in indoor or outdoor gatherings. This includes at venues that host motoring events – however, many venues across the country are now taking measures to make sure they comply with the latest COVID-19 legislation, meaning that events can still go ahead, with social distancing measures in place. From 18 September venues will also be legally required to support government’s trackand-trace policy, so you may be asked to pre-book or give your details at the point of admission. It is good practice to check that an event is still going ahead before you set off – particularly if a local lockdown has come into effect near the event. Pre-booking is often essential, too.
