Values stayed largely static until 2015 – the year that Land Rover pulled the plug on the old Defender, prompting the market to place more value on preserving the older models. However, while the minters have really picked up, there are still plenty of rougher examples selling at auction for nearer £3-4k, and it’s unlikely that’ll change any time soon.
