THE SHOWS WE’RE LOOKING FORWARD TO

Antwerp Classic Salon Antwerp Expo, Jan van Rijswijcklaan 1919, Antwerp 2020. 11-13 March
Don’t quote me on it, but the prospect of travelling to Europe seems like it will remain simple for the next few months, which has me looking at Antwerp’s indoor show in March. A celebration of the E-type is the header exhibit – though that’s hardly novel – but the other ‘theme’ is a celebration of Delage, which should be a pretty unique display. While there’s a lot of focus on dealers from across the Low Countries, more than 50 classic clubs will be showing off their cars, too.

British Marques Day Brooklands Museum, Weybridge, Surrey, KT13 0SL. Sunday, 24 April
There are plenty of events being lined up to coincide with Drive-it Day this year on 24 April, but I suspect that this patriotically themed outing at Brooklands will be one of the biggest. This year the museum is laying on a special display dedicated to Singer’s heritage, but what’s likely to make this show stand out is the sheer quantity of cars on show, both from clubs and private owners. One not to miss. ■ brooklandsmuseum.com

The Classic At Silverstone Silverstone Circuit, Northants NN12 8TN. 26-28 August
Classic F3 competition returns to Silverstone this year with the event hosting the final race of the F3 Classic Interseries. With Dijon, Paul Ricard and Brands Hatch circuits hosting the earlier three races, the last battle should be a thriller. Silverstone hopes to produce a record lineup of pre-1985 2-litre F3 racers from both sides of the channel, with potentially some of the cars originally raced by the likes of F1 greats, Ayrton Senna, Alain Prost, Nelson Piquet and Nigel Mansell. ■ silverstone.co.uk/events/ the-classic
