Le Mans Classic Circuit de la Sarthe, Le Mans, Pays de la Loire, France. Thursday 30 June-sunday 3 July

There’s still just about time to snap up your tickets for this four-day celebration of historic racing, which is back after a fouryear absence due to Covid. It’s one of the few race events where the action continues throughout the night, and encompasses everything from pre-war cars to Group C racers, and there’s normally a sizeable Brit presence of classics, too. lemansclassic.com

BMC & Leyland Show British Motor Museum, Banbury Road, Gaydon, Warwickshire, CV35 0BJ. Sunday, 6 July

It’s worth giving this celebration of Britain’s mass-produced classics a visit, as it’s essentially two days out for the price of one. Not only do you get to enjoy Austins, Rovers, Triumphs, Morrises and more outside the museum, but head inside and you can see all the corporation’s might-have-beens and significant cars too. You might even see Nick Larkin perusing the Austin Cambridges and Morris 1000s while you’re there... britishmotormuseum.co.uk

Gloucestershire Vintage & Country Fair Extravaganza South Cerney Airfield, Northmoor Lane, South Cerney, GL7 5QD. 5-7 August

I’ve been to South Cerney on a couple of occasions for this longrunning show and always been impressed by the sheer scale of the classic displays, although it’s also well worth a visit if historic motorcycles and commercial vehicles – including the classic buses ferrying you between the show and visitor car parks – are your bag. At just £7 for an adult ticket, it’s pretty good value. glosvintageextravaganza. co.uk
