‘It’s very costly to run this number of cars,’ explains Dudding. ‘So about four years ago it started the transition from being a collection to becoming a business.’

He employs a small team of trusted helpers, including the collection’s management staff and a full-time motor mechanic and car cleaner.

‘It’s a very tight-knit team, they’re more like family to me and I’m very proud of them. They deal with the bookings, ensure everything works and goes out for a run around the block every few months to keep the oils moving.’ This means that whenever a car is called upon, it’s ready to go.
