SKILLED AND VERSATILE, M V CLASSICS PERFORMS EVERYTHING FROM RESPRAYS TO RESTORATIONS TO ACCIDENT REPAIRS

-

M V Classics has been repairing and restoring classics since 2006 and the depth of talent at the Droxford company stretches back further still. Managing Director Lawrence Smith began working with paint and bodywork in 1985, and his team boasts impressive skillsets. Everything from routine servicing and detailing to nut-and-bolt restoration is available, and the firm has experience in resto-modification.

The team works with a wide range of classics, though Triumphs, MG and Jaguars are the most common workshop visitors. Everything from pre-war Rileys to Audi quattros has received M V metalwork, and Lawrence is currently restoring a Peel P50 microcar. In the absence of replacement parts and technical drawings, the process has required M V to fabricate several parts from scratch. The same appetite for complex projects has also brought the company into accident repair, recently working on a Jaguar Mk2 that suffered a rear-end collision.

Paint remains a speciality and one of the most popular services at M V Classics. The firm is currently recommissioning an MGA in its original Iris Blue and has long provided paint and bodywork services for a local XK Jaguar specialist, a relationship Lawrence began before forming M V Classics. Demonstrating its attention to detail, every paintjob still uses two-pack and cellulose material for a period-correct finish.
