AUCTIONS POSTPONED

Tougher restrictions posed by the third round of UK lockdowns has caused many auction houses to postpone or cancel their early 2021 sales. SWVA had been set to open the British season on 29 Jan, but that was dropped; its first sale is currently set for 26 Mar. ACA has pushed back its Jan sale to 27-28 Feb, Barons cancelled its Winter Warmer, and DVCA has dropped its 11 Mar sale but will be bringing its planned June sale forward to 20 May, one of only three sales in 2021. Of course even the new dates are subject to shifting circumstances so do check auction house websites regularly if you’re making plans.
