Not so fast

In Quentin’s Hot Tips article on the Mercedes Benz 450SEL 6.9 (July 2020) he stated that at the time it was the world’s most accelerative five-seater saloon, but I think that title belonged to the Australian Ford Falcon GTHO Phase III. It was capable of 0-60mph in 6.4 seconds and the standing ¼ mile in 14.4. With the optional 3.9:1 differential ratio the standing ¼ time came down to 13.9 seconds.
