One of a total of just 244 built, this superb example was manufactured and delivered new in 1970, finished in Dubonnet Rosso with Natural hide, as presented today. Benefitting from long term, enthusiast ownership, regular maintenance and upgrades have been carried by R S Williams Ltd, including a complete engine rebuild in 2013, to 4.2 Litre and transmission change to original specification ZF 5-speed. Some 6,000 miles have been covered since the rebuild and the car has now covered, just 56,000 miles in total.
Easily identified by subtly flared wheel arches, accommodating the wider wheel and tyre equipment, the stance and road appearance of the DB6 Mk2, remains a favourite with collectors and enthusiasts for its balanced appearance, it’s improved dynamics and low production number.
Included with the car is a substantial service and maintenance history file, dating back to 1980 and containing multiple invoices and MOT certificates, confirming the limited mileage covered, an engine rebuild dyno sheet confirming an output of 280 bhp, a copy of the original build record, original buff log book and a variety of period invoices and correspondence, from the cars previous owners.
