WHAT’S IN A NAME?

In preparation of this feature, CDB had a chance to chat to a guiding influence on Montesa’s success – Pere Pi – and we asked him about the designation ‘Cappra.’ In far better English than my Spanish would be, the retired former Spanish MX champion told us: “The capra is a mountain goat type of animal, an ibex or that sort of thing, it seemed to fit our Mxer and we liked the name, added another ‘p’ and it became ‘Cappra.’”
